Project offshore platform
Before
The platform consists of multiple parts that are mounted on location. The platform is used at sea and therefore is treated with a C5-M system according to ISO 12944.
Treatment
The separate parts are blasted and painted in a 3-layer system. Before and after each treatment, several inspections are performed, amongst which: dry thickness measurement according to ISO 19840, roughness measurement according to ISO 8503-4, water-soluble contaminations (salts) according to ASTM D4940 and adhesion test ‘Pull off test’ according to ISO 4624.
Result
The platform is treated and protected against sea climate.
